TO DAYS BY MOSHAM CLETUS

Is the South African media Telling the Truth about TB Joshua?

As article after article is published about Nigerian Pastor T.B. Joshua in the wake of his tragic church building collapse, the bigotry and bias unashamedly displayed by the South African media have finally compelled me to react.

I must confess I don’t often attempt to order my eclectic myriad of ruminations into words, especially on such a sensitive, sorrowful issue. As a patriotic South African, I am still trying to come to terms with the tragic incident that veiled our country in a cloak of sadness this week. My heart bleeds for those who lost loved ones in the church collapse in Lagos, Nigeria that sent 84 salvation-seeking South Africans to an early grave. May their souls rest in perfect, permanent peace.

At this juncture, I don’t want to attempt to proffer reasons as to the cause of this tragic incident; let’s leave professional investigators to their job.

My concern is the prejudiced media reports within the public sphere, myopic headlines such as

Nigerian Military has killed Abubakar Shekau ‘Again’

As reported by moshamcletus.blog.com  on Wednesday night, the Defence authorities have confirmed the killing of the leader of Boko Haram, Abubakar Shekau, during one of the four encounters with insurgents in the Kodunga area of Borno State between September 12 and 17, 2014.

The Director of Defence Information, Maj. Gen. Chris Olukolade, said during a news conference in Abuja on Wednesday, that the corpse of the insurgents’ leader was identified by the people of Kodunga.

He said Shekau's real name is Mohammed Bashir. Olukolade illustrated the Defence authorities claim with pictures of the bullet-ridden corpse of Shekau and a video of the battle in which he was killed.

But a journalist close to Boko Haram, Ahmad Salkida, had it on “authority” that Shekau is alive.

Any little thing My Husband will Ask for Divorce ––Doris Simeon

Once again, beautiful actress Doris Simeon took time to trace the genesis of crisis with her estranged husband, Daniel Adenimokan. Speaking on TVC breakfast show on her failed marriage, Doris said:
"This man asked for divorce over seven times, long before we finally separated. At every little problem, he would say ‘I want divorce, I want divorce.' There are some people that he listens to when they talk to him, so I tried to call pastors, and they kept calling him, but he wouldn’t pick their calls. At some point, I just realized that he had made up his mind finally.
"It got to a point that I had to look at myself in the mirror, and I said to myself, ‘Doris, you are a beautiful woman, why would you want to kill yourself over nothing?’ I convinced myself to just try and move on with my life also. It took me a year to get to that point, but in between that time, I was trying to focus my mind on other things such as work...

Jonathan not Eligible to Contest in 2015 –PDP, APC Members

Some members of Peoples Democratic Party and All Progressives Congress have approached a federal high court sitting in Abuja to restrain the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the attorney general of the federation (AGF) from allowing President Goodluck Jonathan to participate in the 2015 presidential election.

In a suit filed by four Senior Advocates of Nigeria, the plaintiffs argued that by the 1999 Constitution (as amended), the president, having contested the presidential election twice, won and took the oath of office and allegiance twice in respect of that office can no longer present himself for election to that office the third time.

The suit marked: FHC/ABJ/CS/662/2014, with Adejumo Mansouru Ajagbe (a member of the PDP from Lagos State) and Olatoye Wahab (a member of the APC from Osun State) as plaintiffs, listed the AGF and INEC as defendants.
The case, which was filed by James Ocholi, Abiodun Owonikoko, Okon Efut and Mahmu Magaji (all SANs), has been assigned to Justice Ahmed Ramat Mohammed for hearing.

ENDS deserves The $7m US Reward for Shekau Information

On June 3rd 2013, the United States Department of State declared “Abubakar Shekau” alias, Abu Bakr Skikwa, Imam Abu Bakr Shiku, Abu Muhammad Abu Bakr Bin Muhammad Al Shakwi Al Muslimi Bishku, wanted. A bounty of $7 million was put on his head for “information on his location” or leading to his capture. Quote: “rewards for information on key leaders of terrorist organizations in West Africa.”

In February of 2014, I on behalf of the ENDS organization released an explicit article, “Boko Haram Leader Abubakar Shekau Is Dead!” In the article, we proved with clear evidence that the new person appearing in all videos released since August of 2013 were impostors of the late Shekau I. See article: http://ends.ng/boko-haram-leader-abubakar-shekau-is-dead/

In May of 2014 after Boko Haram abducted 234 girls from Chibok in Noerth Nigeria, we provided side-by-side picture comparisons which fully exposed the differences between the new Shekau II who released the videos and the original Shekau I declared wanted.

Bishop blasts Pastor Oritsejafor for Playing Politics with CAN

The Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria has accused Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor of smearing the image of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), saying it is wrong for his plane to be associated with the scandalous “arms deal” in South Africa.

Speaking on BBC Hausa Service monitored in Kaduna on Wednesday, Archbishop Ignatius Kaigama, who is the Archbishop of Jos and President, Catholic Bishop Conference of Nigeria, said they had been watching with sadness how Oristejafor had been hobnobbing with the Presidency for long. He accused the CAN President of dragging Christianity into the mud.
In the words of Bishop Kaigama: “It is not proper; the guilty must be punished. It is not acceptable for a Christian leader to be seen always with the President. We in the Catholic have always picked holes in Oritsejafor’s style of leadership in CAN and we even wanted to stop attending CAN meeting at the national level.”

Rivers Judiciary Crisis: Engineered By Presidency and PDP to Remove Amaechi —APC

The All Progressives Congress (APC), Rivers State Chapter, has strongly condemned what it dubbed as the “show of shame” witnessed in Port Harcourt, the State capita on 23rd, September, 2014l, when a horde of well-armed and fierce-looking policemen, acting on the orders of the Federal Government, brutalised innocent citizens protesting the desperate attempt to foist Justice Daisy Okocha as the Chief Justice of the State.

“This is the height of impunity by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)-controlled Presidency, which has tried almost everything in the book in a failed bid to illegally remove the Rivers State Governor, Rt. Hon. Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi, from office”, the party said in a statement signed by Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, Senior Special Aide on Media and Public Affairs to the State Chairman, APC Rivers State.

Fayose in War of Words with APC over Ekiti Court case

The Ekiti State Governor-elect, Ayodele Fayose, on Wednesday claimed he had uncovered a plot by the All Progressives Congress, APC, to ensure that the Speaker of the state House of Assembly becomes the next governor of the state instead of him, who defeated their candidate in an election.

The governor-elect said this was the primary reason a socio-political group, Ekiti-11, went to court to ensure that it could achieve this through the back door. He made the claims at a press conference in Lagos.

While explaining the circumstances surrounding the attack on a judge in the state on Wednesday during a court proceeding on the eligibility suit filed against him on Monday, Fayose said it was through such a "dubious" court judgement that a former governor, Segun Oni, was ousted, paving the way for Governor Kayode Fayemi of the APC in 2010.
In his words: “The whole scheming in Ekiti State is just about the APC obtaining judgement through the back door after losing elections on June 20, 2014. You will recall that Segun Oni’s tenure was truncated through this back door judgement by some judicial officers who have been compromised.
“They can go as far as losing their career if and when politicians pay them well...

Breaking: Army Headquarters confirms Shekau has been Killed

The Defence Headquarters has confirmed that the self-acclaimed leader of the wicked Boko Haram sect, Mr. Mohammed Bashir, alias "Abubakar Shekau" had died in an encounter with troops in Konduga.

The Director of Defence Information, Maj.-Gen. Chris Olukolade, confirmed the death of Shekau at a news conference in Abuja on Wednesday. I

“In course of encounters, one Mohammed Bashir, who has been acting or posing as the deceased Abubakar Shekau, the eccentric character known as the leader of the group died.

“Since the name Shekau has become a brand name for the terrorists’ leader, the Nigerian military remains resolute to serve justice to anyone who assumes that designation or title."
A new set of photos have confirmed the death of Shekea. See the photos below:

Boko Haram Commander Abubakar Shekau is Well and Alive

Borno-born journalist said to be a close ally of Boko Haram, Ahmad Salkida, has dismissed the report that the dreaded commander of the Boko Haram sect has been killing by troops in Konduga area.

Salkida, who is on self-exile in the United Arab Emirates over alleged threats to his life, said he has it good on “authority” that Abubakar Shekau was hale and hearty. Salkida claimed that Shekau, who he had discussions with recently during a failed attempt to negotiate an end to the incarceration of the Chibok girls was not the one in a picture circulating online.
“Mark my words: I have it on authority that Shekau is well and alive. The picture going round is not the person who torments us with his group,” the journalist stated categorically.
“So far, no town taken by Boko Haram has been reclaimed by the Nigeria Army. They were only able to prevent Konduga and Maiduguri from falling to the terrorists. Success in the war against terrorism should be felt by those that are affected the most, and not just in the media."

Pastor shot by Robbers for Begging them not to R*pe Daughter

The heart of men is wicked! The heartlessness of some armed robbers who not only steal from their victims, but also kill or maim them, manifested recently when a gang of armed robbers attacked a pastor of popular pentecostal church in the Abeokuta area of Ogun State and shot him in the mouth for daring to plead that his daughter should not be r*ped.

According to Crime Reports, the gang members, including Sodiq Asimiyu (21) a.k.a. Nokia, Lekan a.k.a Goddey, Ayo a.k.a. AY, Seun Ojo a.k.a. Sepe, Kassim and Sunday, among others, assembled at a hemp joint at Ojupa area, Oke-Bode, Abeokuta, on May 31, 2014, from where they took off to a robbery operation, using two Bajaj motorcycles.

They succeeded in their moves when they came across a man driving his Nissan X-terra jeep, whom they robbed and dispossessed of his vehicle in front of State Hospital, Ijaye, Abeokuta.
Unsatisfied with the previous day’s loot, the gang took off again with the X-Terra vehicle at about 5a.m. on Sunday, June 1 and moved to Elite area, Idi-Aba, Abeokuta, where they blocked a car driven by a Pastor at about 5.50a.m. while on his way to church with his wife and daughter.
A police source further informed Crime Reports that the man was dispossessed of N150,000, a Samsung Galaxy tablet and HTC phone belonging to his daughter, among other items.
Not satisfied, one of the armed robbers who eyed the cleric’s daughter with lust, ordered her to move away from her parents into the church, with the intention to have s*x with her...

Why Nigerian Big Men don't want Buhari to Become President

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Osita Okechukwu, has said the Nigerian elite are opposed to the emergence of Muhammadu Buhari as president because they are aware he would wage unreserved war against corruption.
He said as president, Buhari would rubbish the belief that there is no ideological difference between the APC and the PDP, by implementing the manifesto of the opposition party.
Mr. Okechukwu stated this in a goodwill message at the launching ceremony of Friends of Buhari, in Abuja. The group is pushing for the election of Buhari as candidate in the 2015 presidential election.
"The tiny top elite are fully aware that General Muhammadu Buhari as a President will stridently, in line with the Manifesto of the APC, wage war against corruption. They know he will build new refineries, having built two before as Petroleum Minister; hence putting a stop to petroleum products importation where they make billions without query. They know he will not carry raw cash to South Africa to buy military equipment or under fund the Army. They know that he and Tam David-West are the only former Ministers of Petroleum who neither own an oil block nor a petrol station...

I didn't collect TB Joshua's money & I didn't make noise like you ––Bayo replies Ibekwe

When journalists are covering a particular premises for as long as one week, due to an unfortunate incident, it is only natural for the owner(s) of such building to appreciate them with cash as most media houses do not give their journalists enough money to sustain them in the location for that long period.
That was what TB Joshua did and one Nicholas Ibekwe thought he should become an activist overnight and he started campaigning that TB Joshua bribed journalists. Funny, indeed. The collapsed Synagogue building is not hidden, the popular Prophet never asked any of the journalists to go and reduce the casualty figure to deceive people. So, what is the noise by Ibekwe all about?
Anyway, another journalist, Bayo AKinloye, has come out to say he also declined taking the money offered for personal reasons but did not see any reason to make noise about it. See what he said below:

2015 Election will be Tough, We Want to Take Over ––Buhari

Ex-Military Head of State, General Muhammadu Buhari has predicted that next year’s general elections will be tough and urged all APC members to collect their voters’ card and hold on to them.

He called on Nigerians not to vote for treasury looters in 2015, saying provision of free amenities is possible. He rolled out the party’s package for Nigerians; improved infrastructure, water, electricity and improved education system for Nigerians, under a new government run by the APC.
In Buhari's words: “The next five months will be very tough, because we want to take over the government, from Councillorship to Presidency.
“Next election is going to be different and next year is going to be tough because APC is ready for change in Nigeria. We will stop corruption; no more will anybody put government money into private pockets."
